Galley

May 21, 2005

Ok I have moved on to building my galley, It's nothing fancy, but I want it to be decent.
I decided that I would reduce the size of the galley hatch to 4 feet, (remember, my tear is 6 feet wide), and use the additional side space for battery, water tank, and various other hidden features, like the water line, gas line, wiring, etc...
Here is the plain galley wall I started with

Here you can see where I brought the side walls in

The basic framing for my counter etc...

Here's the framing laid out, you see where my cooler will go, the stove will be in the center

That's my battery box tucked away in the newly created space between the outer wall and the inner galley wall.

on the other side you can see the 7 gallon water container I am utilizing as a water tank.

I have more done, but need to take pictures in the morning, I will post them sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Ok Here is my progress so far on my galley, It's nearing completion, a few shelves and some cosmetics and it will be done.

I am sorry for the views in these photos, but the back end of the trailer is about 5 feet from the wall of my canopy/garage, plus there is a workbench in the way.

I don't think it looks too bad so far.....
This stovetop was a complete stove and oven out of the scotty camper I started with.... the burner in the oven was cracked, so I removed the entire top out of the unit, did some painting, and installed it as a counter top range... it works very well after I did some new gas line work, and a few odds and ends...only bad thing is the knobs aren't right.,...I'll have to pick up a few soon.

Here's my cooler cabinet... I swiped the idea from one of the tear sites I was getting ideas from, the cooler cabinet door opens downward, and the cooler slides out on a platform for easy access.
